Mouseover balloons are now black on black and unreadable, what is the cause and fix?

The mouseover balloons now have black text instead of the usual white text for both the browser and websites. firefox 46 for ubuntu running on kde 4.13.3

You can try to use a different GTK 3 theme in case the Linux theme you currently use isn't working properly with the current Firefox release. Note that Firefox 46.0 and later requires GTK+ 3.4 as a minimum and you need a GTK 3 theme.
