A weird number appears at the end of URLs

more options

So, I switched back to firefox because chrome keeps failing at playing videos outside of youtube, and when I go to amazon.co.uk I get this weird number appearing at the end of the URL: 277-0116603-8477847

I googled it and got no results, but I'm hoping there's a fix (I'm assuming I have some malware or something)

Website stuff, maybe to track clients.

Many sites will add a unique session identifier to the URL if your browser declines cookies. Do recall ever opting out of cookies on the site?

Amazon also has an affiliate program where links you click on other sites may include a code to ensure that affiliate gets a commission on your purchase. Perhaps it's something like that?

Hm, maybe? I logged in and now the number doesn't appear. I don't think I opted out of cookies, though firefox has tracking protection enabled for private windows.
