In Thunderbird I'd like to be able to resend sent emails to another recipient by entering the email address in the "To" field.
As above.

Do you want to resend a message you sent yourself? You can use the Edit As New Message function for that: select the message you already sent and choose Message -> Edit As New Message from the menu, Now you get a window resembling the original compose window, where you can modify the recipients.
If you want to resend a message you received, filling in only the To: address and keeping the original message intact, you have to use amy add-on Mail Redirect. With that add-on you can redirect any mail message to a new recipient, where the new recipient receives a copy of the original message, with the original sender, recipients, date/time and subject. Go to Tools -> Add-ons and search for Mail Redirect if this is what you want.

Thanks Onno, I should have found that myself. I was looking for a toolbar button but didn't think of the menu bar. Mail Redirect is good too! Thanks again. Regards, Ian (Melbourne, Australia)
