When I try to open Thunderbird I get an error Cannot open as xp.com not found.

I went to Mozilla support and someone else had the same problem and the answer was Chosen solution Download the full installer and run it with Administrator permissions. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all.html

My question is if I do this will this delete my date--contacts, emails, and etc.

Did you look up about the profile?
