I have a Firefox account that I can't access. My pc died and when I used a different pc I can't log into my account I opened in 2014. When I asked for a new password and my user name I didn't get a reply. I have limited access to the net so responding will be timely, I've got al my book marks and ad ons I used and I hope it can be resolved. Thank you

Question

I'm having a problem with my account. My pc died and when I tried to log into my Firerfox account I was told my email doesn't exist. Somehow I'm able to post a question through a series of trials and tribulations. I opened my account in 2014 and I'd like to get my bookmarks etc...back. How can I resolve this? I have limited access to the net at this time so replying will be slow. Thank you {I hope this is enough details)

Answer

Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To recover them, follow the instructions below.
Use one of these methods to open the Bookmarks Library window: Firefox 29 and above: Click the Bookmarks button Bookmarks-29 and select Show All
Bookmarks.
Previous Firefox versions: Click the Firefox button and click on Bookmarks. (If you don't have a Firefox button, click the Bookmarks button Bookmarks button win 2 or Bookmarks menu item and select Show All Bookmarks.)
At the top of the Library window, click on Import and Backup and select Restore.
Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
In the new window that appears, click OK. Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored.

I think it was thought you my be asking logging in to the support, mozilla site but clearly you can do that.
 ??
Or is the problem that you have another support account you can not access
You may be asking about Firefox's Sync service.
See https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/sync/ I am not sure but Sync may be deactivated if not used for 6 months.
Also if you were using the old version of Sync that stopped being available some time last year.
If you were using Sync when was it last active and used to Sync with Firefox?
Also note Sync itself is not a backup service.
Your backups are whatever you make yourself, or the installs of Firefox on the other devices you have and Sync with. See I do not have any method of moving this question to the correct section I can only move it to the lost threads section. However you do already have an open question so I will also post this reply there: Sorry for the inconvenience but can you please provide any further information or answers in the original question, I think that is the best place.
