Hello All,

I run Firefox 43.0.4 on my OSX 10.6.8 MacBook Pro 4,1. I have setup my Synology DS215j NAS and it works fine. My problem is this: when in Firefox, whenever I bring up an OSX file selection dialog (to save a downloaded file, open a file, etc), the shared folders from the NAS are grayed out in the dialog. Impossible to access them directly. Same goes for Thunderbird (38.5.1).

I haven't tried to access other network folders, but I guess it would be the very same, because at the moment the NAS is connected directly to the laptop through RJ-45. You can't downsize the network any further!

What can I do to overvcome this really very annoying state of affairs?
