The wording sounds like a programing error. Did this start after updating to FF44?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache and
  • Remove Cookies
    Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to.

Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar.

  • Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
  • Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.

I still have the same problem unfortunately (yes this happened after updating to 44) But when I launch the nightly version it works fine

Many have reported issues after installing 44. I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.

That is a problem with localStorage: d = !!localStorage.d;

What do you get if you type localStorage in the command line of the Web Console (3-bar Menu button or Tools > Web Developer)?

Make sure that you aren't blocking localStorage either in Firefox or via an installed extension.

You can check if DOM Storage is enabled.

I get : Storage { length: 0 }

That response looks OK.

What are the cookie settings?

Do you allow cookies or do you only allow specific cookies or do you have extensions that manage cookies?

Local Storage follows the same rules as set for cookies on a specific domain.

Yes I allow cookies

Try to clear all cookies and possibly the Site Preferences via Clear Recent History with the time frame set to everything.

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data. You can create a backup copy of permissions.sqlite to be able to restore most permissions if it hasn't worked. logins.json stores the password permissions in addition to the names and passwords. content-prefs.sqlite usually doesn't store important data.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
