Back button must be hit twice on Washington Post website

Recently--and only on the Washington Post website and only when using Firefox (does not happen with IE)--I must hit the back button twice to get to the preceding page. And then it takes me to the top of the page and not to the portion of the page I was at previously.

Post recommended clearing cache, which I did but did not solve problem. And given that it only happens in Firefox (I'm using 44.0) leads me to think it's a Firefox problem. Yet, other websites work fine.
