firefox wont connect to internet and give stopped working warning
Firefox will not connect to the internet. I have been away during deployment of update 44 (and it is running as version 44) but not sure whether i used it since this update. Internet is fine, chrome is working (allowing me to post here!) The page refresh just spin endlessly without ever giving message such as cant connect.
When i try to close the program i get a "stopped working" message with details..

any help appreciated. I have tried playing with firewall as that has been mentioned as post patch issue but doesnt fit with above in my head and opened firewall completely and still nothing. One weird element was ESET has a rule for firefox communication which is OUT only, i changed it to IN and OUT however with no change.

This is an issue that seems to be surfacing with FF 44. The current workaround is to try the 64-bit build, and if that connects fine, then it's the "44 connection and crash-on-close issue".
As there is currently no info on the cause, there is no solution to suggest as of yet. Could you try the 64-bit build and see if that works? https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
