command click stopped working in firefox 43.0.4 in mac os10.10.5 - how do I fix this.

I used to be able to type command -c to copy a picture or some text to the clipboard. and then type command -v to paste it into a document. This no longer works. it pastes the URL of the picture etc instead of the actual picture. How can I fix this. (command - c and command - v work fine on this computer in chrome).
