How do you set a password for opening Thunderbird as it opens without any password even though I have set a master password?
With my old Outlook Express the programme wouuld not open without me entering a password. I could select whether or not to have a password to open it.... but I am unable to find out how to do this with Thunderbird. I have set a master password but it does not make any difference. When I go to the desk top shortcut & click on the relevant thunderbird icon, the programme just opens without asking for a password. Is there a way of setting one?

Try the Startup Master addon.

Perfect, thank you Zenos. It's just what I wanted. I wonder why Mozilla don't have this as standard on installation? It seems very strange to me.
