Even tho you claim there is a signed version of Yahoo tool bar that will work it won't stay loaded. I am having script crashes when I am using Yahoo for almost anything but especially for single player online games. i won't change to Windows 10 until the last dog is hung, I am murderously tired of relearning things that worked perfectly for my needs and having to start over using unintuitive and cumbersome new methods. If you want to please me make something that works for the over 65 crowd who wish they could become luddites.

Hi, very sorry about this, but the Yahoo toolbar add-on becoming disabled in Firefox is a known issue that Mozilla and Yahoo are working on. The problem is related to the new add-on signing requirements that became mandatory in Firefox 43. More - Add-on signing in Firefox.

As a temporary measure, which will only work until Firefox 44 - due for release on 26th January, you can type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to xpinstall.signatures.required and double click on it to change 'Value' from True to False. You may then need to restart Firefox. More - Configuration Editor for Firefox.

For security reasons, using an old version is not recommended, but if you really want to try it please see - Install an older version of Firefox.

I'm with you on Win 10 - at the moment anyway!

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Hi again, please update to the latest version of Yahoo Toolbar (3.2.13.20151229095419) which should now work!

Very sorry for all the inconvenience caused.

Followup: The Yahoo toolbar add-on was updated on December 29, 2015. The latest version of the Yahoo toolbar fixes an issue that caused it to become disabled in Firefox 43.

If you changed the xpinstall.signatures.required preference to false in the Firefox Configuration Editor (about:config page) as a workaround for the Yahoo toolbar problem, you should reset the preference back to true (the default value). If you downgraded to Firefox 42 as a workaround, please update Firefox to the latest version .
