I'm running OSX and every time I open Firefox, it freezes up. I can't type in the URL area, can't click on bookmarks, and can't select the profile folder. It's completely stuck with no functionality. I tried to uninstall and reinstall to no avail. I tried using Safari and it works fine but I want my Firefox back!

Thank you for your time and consideration :)

What is your computer system and Firefox?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Hi Fred,

Thank you for your prompt response.

I'm running OS X 10.7.5 I can't check the firefox version but its the newest one I could download (v.42 or something??).

I've tried opening Firefox in safe mode and rebooting the system in safe mode and I get the same results; inability to change url or click the profile button on the right. However, the Google search bar and accompanying animations do display and seem to move (albeit a bit choppy).

Aahh!!
