User's safety is user's business, don't decide FOR the user! I want my versions of extensions!
Hello. I prefer savefrom 3.70, not the latest version. And 3.70 is not the signed one. So what? You're trying to "care" for ME better, than I do? Why can't I decide, what's best for me? What, I'm your teenage son? Where's the option that lets ME sign for MY browser (for a browser that I use) — which extensions it will install? Why are you making it so-oooo big deal? Make an agreement that the user takes all the responsibility — and that's it! Regards.

Thanks. I guess, it switches to 'true' after update. Because now, in the previous version (42.0) of FireFox, it's 'false'...

Thanks for the heads up. For a user with unsigned add-ons which version would you recommend — FireFox Developer Edition or a Nightly one?
There is a version 5.75 under review; hopefully that will address what you don't like about the current version 4.86 before time runs out.

Neither, as they're not always stable. Nightly gets daily updates, while Developer Edition gets updates almost daily (when there are "checkins" with updated files to be tested). Daily updates wear pretty thin rather quickly for users who aren't really "testers" of Alpha software. And occasionally an update may break Firefox almost entirely and be unusable that day - Nightly more so.
I went with the Firefox 38 ESR version, but come Firefox 44 Mozilla should have an unbranded version, sans the "signing" feature, so they said a few weeks ago.

Do NOT use Nightly as your regular browser. It is not nearly as stable as the Developer Edition, which itself is not as stable as the more finished releases.

There's also Version 3.70.1-signed. I think, the problem's solved... For some time, anyway. Thank you, guys.
