could'nt sign in and changed password which doesn't work either! why?

I tried to sign in with my original password but said it was invalid so I went through change password to that password, but it then said not to use a previous password!!!!! So i went through it again and changed it to something different and guess what? It said that it to was invalid!, but it just worked to sign in here!! So what gives?

Any username/password issues should be posted here with password in the heading, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors

To what website are you trying to sign in? A username and password for the SUMO website (support.mozilla.org) will only work for that website and not for other Mozilla website and vice versa.
