If I open firefox there also appears a message asking to allow tracking my location. At the end of the message is this address (s.flite.com). I have found no means of deleting this and I have no desire to visit this site. Any suggestions on how to obliterate this nuisance will be appreciated. Thanks!

http://flite.com/#overview - looks like an HTML5 advertisement delivery network. See their privacy policy - http://flite.com/privacy-policy/

You should be able to block that domain with an adblocker add-on; like AdblockPlus - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ - or uBlock Origin - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ - what I currently use for adblocking.
