How do I not run Firefox as an Administrator
My Firefox is opening in Administrator mode, which prompts me to agree to allow Firefox to make changes to my PC every time I open it up. I read that I needed to go to Properties and deselect all my compatibility settings but this doesn't work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

A possible cause of this message is that Firefox is set to run as Administrator.
Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
- Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
- "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
That worked! I just a little concerned that by lowering my settings to the not recommended settings, I may make my PC vulnerable to things being downloaded without me being asked first.
Because I was concerned about having something downloaded that I didn't want due to the lower settings and since this just started occurring, I did a system restore to two days ago and everything is back to normal. Thanks for all the help!

Note that it isn't recommended to disable UAC.
Did you check the suggestion I posted above because that is the likely cause of this issue?
A pending update that requires to run Firefox once as administrator can also cause this. We have seen this issue posted many times.

Yes. That was the first thing I tried as I noted in my initial question I deselected everything on the compatibility settings and rebooted but still no luck.
Did you check the Firefox.exe program file as well?
You can try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox in case there is a problem.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
- Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
