For the last week T-Bird won't download any email from any of the 3 accounts that I use it for. I can access them with T-Bird on another PC. The account settings all look the same between the 2 machines

Chosen solution

I can see that you are using the most up to date version of thunderbird and this update occurred after 29th september 2015. So the timing suggests it is to do with the update and sudden no incoming or outgoing suggests something is being blocked by another program.

It is possible that your anti-virus/firewall product has not recognised that the update was for the same product and is seeing the current version of Thunderbird as a new program which it is blocking.

close thunderbird. Access your anti-virus/firewall product and check it is allowing Thunderbird.

I use Norton and on one occassion I had to reset to block and then reset to Allow to get it to pick up thunderbird properly. then restart Thunderbird.
