Since May, emails will not archive or move from Inbox to any other folder.. (win7, pop)

more options

Ever since May 2015, I havent been able to archive my emails, from my inbox or any other folder. All my previous archives up until May are fine. If I try archive the email, a folder called '2015-05' is created, nothing else happens and the email I tried to archive stays in my inbox or the folder that it was in

I compact my folders all the time. Ive tried deleting ALL the msf files Ive tried to disable all add-ons Ive tried to archive in offline mode I backed up and restored the profile but still no luck (used Mozbackup)

Just to add I am running version 38.3.0 which is the most up to date version, although I have not been able to archive following a number of updates. Loading version 24.xx made no difference either Any help would be greatly appreciated, since this is slowly down my system substantially

Please tell us, does it happen also in safe mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode

I had already tried that and luck no. Also tried in offline mode no luck Anti-virus disabled no luck.

The only thing that happens when I try archive, an email a folder called '2015-05' is created, nothing else happens and the email I tried to archive stays in my inbox or the folder that it was originally in before I tried to archive. Right clicking the email and trying to move it from that menu does nothing. If I try to move it manually, nothing happens either.

I suggest a next step as remove each of the 3 add-ons one by one. If that doesn't help, then delete from your Thunderbird profile extensions.ini, extensions.json, extensions.sqlite and the extensions folder.

Removed all the add-ons - no change Deleted each file and the folder - no change

Just to clarify, the problem comes in when it comes to archiving emails. I can move mail out of the inbox folder to another folder on the profile no problem, it is only a problem when I try to archive. This has only been happening since May, prior months have archived no issue. And if I try to archive another email from June or July for example, the exact same thing happens. A folder under Archives > 2015>2015-06 is created as it should when clicking archive, but more then that, nothing happens, the email is still in the inbox and the 2015-06 folder stays empty

As an update, like I mentioned earlier, I had done everything regarding removing the extensions exactly as suggested, with no change. Ive had to reinstall the lightning add-on in the mean time for caldav calendars, as soon as I added the lightning extension and restarted thunderbird, all my calendars, had already been added automatically

As a side note I can create new folders and move the emails that are in the inbox from May to the new folder. My only real issue seems to be that it just refuses to archive
