Why would it not be opening my local folders when they are clicked to do so?
It is downloading emails into my inbox but won't allow me to open it or any of the folders for that matter so I can't see them. I have tried compacting but to no avail and 'clear recent history' but there's no difference.

Does reinstall from http://getthunderbird.com/ help?
Or, install the updated lightning addon 4.0.3.1 which came out this morning.
