How can I save my extensions if I refresh Mozilla

One of my favorite Mozilla extensions is Super Start every time I've refreshed Mozilla in the past I've lost it and had to set it up again. I have my Super Start as my home page and I have the sites that I use constantly all there. I would like to refresh again, but not if I'm going to lose Super Start. If you aren't familiar with Super Start I have taken a screen shot of part of my home page and will add it so you can see what I'm talking about.

These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.

Why do you want to Refresh again? Maybe there is a less drastic way to clean out what you want to clean out?

While it is easy to reinstall an extension, if the extension doesn't store your setup in the cloud, but only locally in your Firefox settings folder, then of course after a Refresh you will need to set it up again. Is that the issue with Super Start?

In some cases, extensions store data in one easy-to-access file or folder that can be copied from your old settings folder to the new one. However, I don't know about this particular extension, or when/how best to do that. I don't see it listed in the FAQ, either: http://www.enjoyfreeware.org/superstart/faq So maybe it would make sense to encourage the author to post that information??
