Looking for a download for 64bit Firefox for Windows 10. Is it available? Found a download for Thunderbird 64bit,

Been using Firefox and Thunderbird in Linux Mint for over 10 years. Still use it to this day. Have a Laptop with Windows 10 64bit and hate their new browser and still do not like Outlook.

Thanks, dwflo

The Win64 Firefox builds are not made for specific Windows versions. The only issue is you need at minimum 64-bit Windows 7 or newer to run Win64 Firefox builds. The 64-bit Windows XP, Vista and servers cannot run the Win64 Firefox builds though they can still use the 32-bit Windows builds.

The earliest Release to have Win64 Firefox may be Firefox 42.0

As for Win64 Thunderbird, there is no Win64 Thunderbird for Release yet as those builds you found (if not posted at a mozilla.org link) were likely random Win64 Nightly channel builds or such.

I have the 32bit Firefox for Windows, v42. So why is 64bit still not available anywhere (as of Nov. 29, 2015)?

It is available, just not so public yet. The Win64 Firefox 43.0 may public then. See https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/42.0/win64/ and pick your language.

Got it!! Thanks much.

HOWEVER ... while the download link said 64 bit, it appears it only installs 32 bit. I have 32 bit v42 already installed. I installed this "new" version in a different folder and for 64 bit apps.

There has to be a way to tell if I installed a 32 bit or 64 bit version. I have Win7 Pro, 64 bit system. Firefox makes no indication either way. Pretty bad on Mozilla's part.

No need to use third-party Win64 Firefox builds when you can use the official Win64 Firefox Releases from www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ as the official Win64 Firefox Release has existed since Firefox 42.0.
