That looks like a problem with checking for updates (updater.exe).

Make sure that you allow the updater.exe in your security software (firewall).

You can check if you can start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift/Options key.

Hi, the crash report is flagging up IPSEng32.dll which is part of Symantec Intrusion Detection, so perhaps you could try disabling it, and look into your anti-virus to see if the crashes stop. More here.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

looking closer at those reports, it looks like it may be caused by external software on the computer. please go into your systems control panel and remove any software labled freecorder or similar or by the publisher "Applian Technologies" or any other toolbars.

There is a bug on file for this, however not alot of information on how to reproduce, could you please provide your troubleshooting information from your browser in about:support while starting Firefox in Safe Mode?

The only thing I can infer is that the thread looks like its trying to update the drivers, do you also have any outstanding updates to the device this is happening on?
