Outlook 2007 times out during move/import to Thunderbird version 31

I've downgraded my Thunderbird to version 31 to try and import all of my emails/contacts/calendar from Outlook 2007 but Thunderbird times out (crashes). Some of my Outlook folders are imported but not all of them. I'm currently running Windows XP Pro - My goal is to import all of my emails from Outlook 2007 (including my archived emails) and also import my calendar and contacts to Thunderbird. Moving away from my Windows machine going with a MACbook Pro.. Any help would be appreciated!
