Im not good on this, i refreshed it, only because you e-mailed me & asked, BIG MISTAKE NOw I don't have my g-mail (copy this page), Instead I have bookmarks,, across the top that I rarely use, (the outlook express e-mail has never worked,) so I rely on that Gmail to send pages, i should have deleted YOUR E mail, this screwed me up, royally

Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

If you're having problems with Firefox, refreshing it can help. The refresh feature fixes many issues by restoring Firefox to its default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks, passwords, and open tabs.

Unless you have a backup, you will have to restore manually.

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.

These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.

TY Fred-mac,,I do appreciate your reply, I didn't realize, when I put my ?up, it was going to community , I thought it was a corporate site,,anyway, I'm no better off, perhaps when your community realizes when these "3 good reasons" e-mails are sent out, encouraging "refresh" and other actions, that some people following these requested actions, will lose parts of their computer, like instead of" G-mail this", under my address bar, I have useless bookmarks, left to right, the whole bar,,,, well to prevent this in the future, maybe a simple, go back, provision could be a part of the new "3 Reasons" refresh, program, see,,,,I really lost a decent screen,, what I do makes it worse, I've lost my toolbar on top now," edit files hist" etc thats gone now too I marked the ?" done, for you, for me,, I made it worse but thank you for your time

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You are not the first with this complaint.

Please do not comment in bug reports. Bug 1141385 - Users are told to Refresh Firefox without being warned of results https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1141385

TY, interesting reports, If I could frwd the e-mail I recvd, "3 reasons to etc", and made a bet," if there's a warning there, I'll buy lunch, if not Moz buys", would I get a taker? But, it's good to know guys like you are fronting for plain old users like me, and others,, we appreciate that, now, as for me and FFX-Moz, an engr friend & his IT wife got me on it, years ago, they moved, and a friend is telling me about his LUNIX or ?? OS, it's supposedly virus free, and if it's slower, I slowed down 15% after I followed that "3 reasons", e-mail and having lost the ability or 85% of ability to e-mail pages, I'm next to dial-up, so I guess thats where Ill be going, if it's what he says, and this is where I'm stuck at, I need to make a move, oh yeah after LUNCH, any takers?
