every time i try to login to a website, with which i have an account, with a user name and password i can enter the user name but the banner across the top of the page asks for my password and will not let me enter in into the password field on the sign in form. when i enter the correct password into the banner it tells me the password is incorrect and as a result i have great difficulty signing into some, not all, websites. How can i disable this banner which appeared after an update to firefox?

Does this happen on many web sites, some, a few?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
