You should be able to find it by typing about:addons in the address bar and selecting "Plugins" in the left hand menu. This will display any plugins you have installed, including Flash, and what the version number is.
The latest version is version 22.214.171.124. If you need an update, head over to this site. Watch out for the additional McAfee software "offer" that you may wish to turn off.
I hope this helps, but if not please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.
You can hover a plugin item on the Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins page to see the version number.
You can also check the about:plugins page for details. You cam open about protocol pages via the location/address bar.
There is an issue with some Flash games not loading in Firefox 40. To see whether the game you are playing is affected by that issue (asynchronous loading), you could try this settings change:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste ipc and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the dom.ipc.plugins.asyncInit preference to switch its value from true to false
I don't know whether that starts taking effect immediately, or whether you need to exit Firefox and start it up again.
