I need to extract my SENT MESSAGES from my profile; How do I do this?
I seem to have a corrupted installation of Thunderbird, it will not send emails to ONE of my THREE accounts; before I completely uninstall to wipe out any corrupted hidden data, I mneed to recover and store my SENT emails, and store them elsewhere. What is the best way to recover these SENT messagese? I would prefer to store them temporily oln a flash drive, and later reload them into a new installation of Thunderbird.
In am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OS with Firefox as my main browser; Comodo DrAgon and Google Chrome (and the cancerous Interrnet Explorer) are installed as well.

Reinstalling Thunderbird is unlikely to help you.
How do you know it's corrupted? What steps have you taken to arrive at this conclusion?
In all probability, your profile, which would remain in place and untouched when you reinstall Thunderbird, is where the trouble lies. Creating a new empty profile would be a good way to check this.
Just deleting and reinstalling the defective account might be the most productive course of action. But check first whether the account uses POP or IMAP, and so whether you need to back it up first (in the case of POP), or rely on it all being saved on the server (IMAP).
Read up on the profile. If it is the seat of your problems, then you need to think about preserving the relevant data. You can save the relevant mailbox and address book files and import these into a new installation of Thunderbird, or into a new clean profile.
To answer your question directly, you're looking for folders named Sent. You don't need the accompanying Sent.msf files. These are all in your profile and will be hidden by default.
A further comment; I don't care much what is in my Sent folders, because I move messages and their replies into subfolders according to topic or correspondent. I'd hate to have to search multiple folders to pick up the thread of a conversation. So, even when I'm the instigator of a discussion, and my message is the first of potentially many, I'd move it straight away into a suitable subfolder, rather than allowing it to stay in a general purpose Sent folder.
Just a thought...
If a message that you send is infected it's most likely in an attachment.
One way to save just a single (or all) folder, remote or local, is using an add-on ImportExportTools (remote, if you need to extract it from the server)
MozBackup is a good program (not an add-on) to backup your whole profile. Some choices but not single folder. (BUT its a zipped version of your profile so you can access every part of it)
You can open your profile-directory and copy the sent-folder. Its in your profile under imapmail (or mail) / "email-address" / sent a file without extension. Could create some problems when you reinstall it. But you can always attach it into Local Folders under a new name.
Using a tool can recreate you whole setup accounts, passwords, emails and all so I recommend that.
EDIT (Sorry Zenos, I was typing and didn't see your advice). A reinstall of TB doesn't alter your profile at all.
