Why Firefox converts image from jpg to bmp when drag and drop?

When I drag and drop an image from Firefox to another program (for example: to share an image through Skype or WhatsApp Web or to copy to another software), the image format is changed from jpg to bmp. This doesn't happen in other browsers.
