What is the tiny lock shown on the account envelope symbol?

more options

Compacted a LOT of emails two days ago. Decided I had way too many and deleted over 1,500 of them. Since then I have not received any emails. Tho I know some have been sent, the response is that there are none. The settings, as far as I can tell, are correct. Then I noticed the little lock symbol on the envelope by my email address. THAT seems relevant! Or is it?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird queue. This question currently is in the Firefox queue for answers.
