My homepage isn't available any more; how do I get it back?

Page Not Available! The page you are attempting to find was not available on this site. You may have typed its location incorrectly or it might not be available on this site.

This is the message I get when I try to get on isp.netscape.com; I know Netscape is so ten years ago, but I like the site and I can still see it on Internet Explorer. I hate IE; I want to be able to see this page on Firefox like I always have.

Thanks.

Could you double-check that your home page doesn't have any parameters after the basic address: http://isp.netscape.com/

You can access that in the Options dialog, as described in: Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings.

If it's already just the base address, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?
