What web site? Can you post a public link?
What does the full message say?
Are you trying to say that Firefox does not save your options? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save
When you are allowing third party cookies, are you going to the Privacy panel of the Options dialog and changing the setting there? Firefox should remember and retain that change until/unless you change it again.
This article lists some reasons that your preference changes could get lost between Firefox sessions: How to fix preferences that won't save.
Some external software also may undo settings changes between Firefox sessions or at Windows startup, including Advanced SystemCare, possibly CCleaner, and other programs with a browser protection or home page protection feature.
In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/remove-recent-browsing-search-and-download-history
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
You can allow third-party cookies only from visited domains.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
You can set the network.cookie.thirdparty.sessionOnly pref to true on the about:config page to make third-party cookies behave as session cookies that expire when you close Firefox.

yes it goes back to block all 3rd party after restarting,.,.
If my prior link did not help,
You may have a corrupt cookies.sqlite file.
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the cookies.sqlite file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
will this delete any of my saved tabs, links at top or anything?
The cookies.sqlite database only stores cookies, so renaming it to something like cookies.old should not affect anything else.
It also probably won't stop the changing of your settings, but if there is an issue with corrupted cookies, renaming the database and having Firefox build a new one will help with that.
every time I change it back to always except 3rd party cookies it goes back
I can't tell whether you went through the possibilities in the article I linked earlier: How to fix preferences that won't save.
What do you mean with "every time I change it back to always except 3rd party cookies it goes back"?
Do the cookie settings change?
Can you attach a screenshot that shows your current cookie settings in "Options/Preferences > Privacy"?
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem
- Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
- Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB
Can you post a link so we can check the website?
Most websites work without the need to accept third-party cookies, so maybe something else is wrong.
sorry I mean when ever I load the app I am using it makes me go to options and I have to switch to 'always' except 3rd party cookies..after I close firefox I will have to do it again..

Okay, skip the Refresh and move to the second section of the article.
