Hi,

I'm using Thunderbird 37.1.0 but had the same issues with the previous versions. It runs smoothly when I'm connected to the LAN, but over WIFI it freezes every 5-10 min for about 30-60 seconds, then it starts running again. Anybody had similar issue? Any idea of how to solve it? Thanks.

sounds like connection to the mail server is set to 5 or 10 minutes.

If it is a typical WiFi it will be significantly slower than it's wired cousin so everything grinds to a halt as the WiFi chokes. Especially if it is shared with more than one user and one of those is streaming music or video over the WiFi connection.
