With Firefox 37.0.2 on Linux Mint 17.1 64-bit.

Similar to some previous problems, e.g., https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1020239 , but with two known odd twists that might help isolate whatever the real solution is.

Right-click in a Firefox window is not working. Also, clicking the 'Open menu' button in the upper-right does not open the menu. BUT...

I have two Firefox windows open, both with multiple tabs. It's set to remember windows/tabs on shutdown and to re-open them on startup. The twists are that both noted problems appear in one window, yet neither appears in the other window. I.e., one Firefox window works as it should and the other does not respond to right-clicks nor to clicking the 'Open menu' button.

So, it all works fine and also doesn't work... concurrently.

That makes me wonder how it could relate to add-ons/extensions/plug-ins or to Safe Mode or just about anything else that's been previously suggested. It seems related only to a particular window instance.

In addition, I opened a third window and copied tab addresses one by one from the non-working window into the new window. Each tab opened and functioned correctly. So I now have three windows, two of which have duplicate tabs open. Right-click works in the new window but not within the window that was cloned. That somewhat indicates that it's not related to some script from one of those sites. I'll kept the non-working window around for a while in case someone has a suggestion about it.

Finally, this problem showed up on a second laptop after I migrated the Firefox settings from another laptop. Everything came across fine, including open tabs, history, etc. It just messed up the right-click and 'Open menu' functions for one window.
