Where are my passwords
, they have disappeared since I refreshed Firefox, they used to be in "prefences, now, nothing there, not even a category called passwords

You should find the passwords in the Security tab.
- Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

When you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported and the current profile folder will be moved to the desktop to an "Old Firefox Data" folder. Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you have made are lost and need to be redone.
If you have the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop then copy the logins.json and key3.db files to the current Firefox profile folder.
