I have firefox 37.0.2 There is nothing on the screen to show that it is firefox. Is there a way to get the firefox logo to appear somewhere on the screen. Maybe up the top left or right corner. I have looked for an option switch and searched for an add on to do this. No success in either case. Thanks, Frank

Hi, I'm not familiar with Win 8, but if you were using Win 7, I would suggest: Open the PC's Start Menu > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox, then right click, > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut). That should place a Firefox shortcut icon on your Desktop.

However in Win 8, can you do a search for Mozilla Firefox on your PC, and when it comes up, right click, then as above? Hope that works.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

I think my question was ambiguous. Here is a screen shot of a firefox window. How do you know it's firefox. It could be any program. It would be handy to have the firefox icon show up somewhere on the window.

Ah OK, there used to be an orange Firefox menu button, but that was removed some time ago with the advent of Australis, and replaced with the 3-bar menu - and some of us still miss it! There are a couple of Add-ons that will bring it back in a similar form - Hide Caption Titlebar Plus, and Personal Menu (Personal Firefox Button). There is also Classic Theme Restorer (Customize UI), but that changes the whole GUI.

However if you set your start page to the Firefox default you will have the Firefox logo, a search box and some buttons - see the How to set the home page article, and click on Restore to Default.

Hope that answers your Question.
