only one website loads, if another address is entered in the bar, Firefox doesn't respond at all.

I am unable to access any site in Firefox bar one. the address bar shows a small square symbol in place of the Firefox icon next to the address when you hit the go button. There is no apparent response at all. Internet explorer is working fine through the same network. Device is a Galaxy Tab 3 7 inch.
