Why is the Firefox search widget on Android using Yahoo?

From the documentation, the search widget / shortcut on Android is supposed to use my default search engine to search. It was respecting that and using DuckDuckGo, but after a recent update it appears to have changed to Yahoo. This isn't cool. Is this a bug?
