Do you have a backup of your user profile? If you do, there's an article on restoring from a profile backup here: Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

If you're having problems with Firefox, refreshing it can help. The refresh feature fixes many issues by restoring Firefox to its default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks, passwords, and open tabs.

Firefox does not send e-mail. It is just a browser. Are you talking about a problem with your e-mail provider?
