Will firefox replace wndows,etc,etc ? And be the actual OS ?

I keep seeing Firefox OS for android and so on, desktop as well. Will it be an actual operating system that could replace Windows,and so on OS's. would like to be clear with this issue .

hi Briguy, no firefox os won't be a replacement for desktop operating systems like windows for the time being. however since it's open source, people are free hack on it and try to get firefox os running for all sorts of platforms - there are projects about getting it working for devices like the raspberry pi for example: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Fxos_on_RaspberryPi
