After you do that, under Launch by Default it should say "No defaults set." When you check that setting for Chrome or whatever is your current default browser, is it stubbornly staying the default or is that feature somehow broken?
</p><p>There is a way to remove ALL default app preferences so Android should give you the choice for links or other types of documents/addresses, but I haven't tried it myself. When you are in Settings &gt; Apps &gt; "All" tap the menu button (3-dots or physical button depending on your device) and look for "Reset app preferences".
