I have not clicked the "remember password" then I click outside it that box and it is gone. I tried searching for answers and some say that I should click the "key" near the back button, but there's no "key" present in there. I just recently made that account and I forgot my password so I want it to show up and I can log-in to that site again.

Hi Gryse,

Please set your settings to Remember Password under Settings.

For Information: Under "What information is stored in my profile?" Look for "Passwords" Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data

Are you still on the page with the log in form?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"

@Adriel It is already checked when I looked in the settings.

@cor-el Nope. I'm already logged in and I don't want to log out because I don't remember what did I typed when I logged in. I'm also not running Firefox on Private browsing mode.

hi Gryse, in the scenario you've described it is not possible to bring up the remember password dialog again, also firefox won't even have your credentials in memory anymore (your login status on the site is stored in a cookie that the website has set on your computer). please contact the account settings on the website and see if they offer to change the password or send a reset link to a mail address used to register or else contact the support of the website.
