Hello Sir/Ma'am

Regarding the question mentioned above, I would like to know if I can use thunderbird as a local / LAN mail type of thing. If i can do so, how do i create the emails for the local mails?

If you can inform me of how i can do this, then that would be great!

Best Regards,

Belal Mansour

you need a mail server. If you want to be the only one sending, you can install a free simple smtp-server on your pc http://www.softstack.com/freesmtp.html.

I don't know how well it will work, I haven't tested it. But without a local mailserver all mails will go to the ordinary email-accounts.

Thank you for the reply gnospen,

I'm actually trying to work out some kind of communication between the main office and the branches, while the branches don't have Internet connection but data line, which is directly connected to a server.

I hope this makes things clearer.

You can set up a mail server localy for example Apache James and use Tbird as clients.
