I have deleted an email address from thunderbird but everything i try an send and email from another account Thunderbird is saying that the password for the deleted email address is incorrect.

I am really stuck as I can not find that email address anywhere in the folders or in the program.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thank you

Look under SMTP Settings for it.

Select an account, right-click, select Settings. The Account Settings panel will appear.

At the left it lists your accounts. The very last one is "Outgoing Server (SMTP)". Select this and peruse the list if offers. One of them is likely connected with the dead incoming account. Delete it.

Having done this, the account that was trying to use the deleted SMTP connection will no longer have access to it. I'm not sure what happens there; Thunderbird may fall back to the default SMTP connection. Or you may have to go to the affected account and on its Account Settings page, select an appropriate SMTP server for it to use.
