Usually when I close FF, my tabs are saved. Occasssionally, I begin getting a 'closing X tabs' warning although I haven't changed settings. Why?

more options

I'm using FF 35.0.1. I have my FF set to open on a blank page. I usually have several hundred tabs in groups (not all 'open') and most often when I shut down I get no warnings and upon restarting FF opens to my blank page and my tabs from prior sessions are there but not 'connected' if that's the correct description.

Sometimes though - currently for example - I begin getting the 'you are closing XXX tabs'. When I restart FF, the prior tabs are indeed gone. Having installed 'Session Manager' I'm able to recall the prior session without difficulty but don't understand why this occurs, seemingly randomly, and would like to make it stop.

Hi guigs2, thanks for replying... I'm a little red-faced as, after posting my question, I realized that my start option was set to 'blank page' only and upon resetting to 'save my prior session' it resolved the issue. I just hadn't gotten around to removing the question. Again, thanks for your offer to help.
