When Firefox opens the weather window says my ZIP is in NJ. I ask FF to detect my zip, but it will not retain it for the next boot. Is there a fix?
Every time I opn FF, the weather window says I'm in NJ and not where I live (MA). I ask it to detect my ZIP and it finds me but it won't retain that info for the next time I open FF. Is there a way to set the ZIP default to my actual ZIP ?

What "weather window"? A specific webpage? Or, using an extension like ForecastFox? Or other?
If that is a webpage, are you saving cookies for that domain? Usually preferences like a zip code setting for a website are saved in a cookie for that domain; clear the cookie and your setting is gone.
What does this webpage say about your location? http://whatismyipaddress.com/
Ooops! I am so used to using Yahoo as my portal, I mistakenly assumed that FF controlled the "windows" I have on my start page. It is a Yahoo weather summary and it doesn't seem to want to retain my ZIP code even though I told it to always use my current location (desktop PC) and have told it to detect my ZIP numerous times.
Off to the Yahoo HELP pages..!
Thanks the-edmeister for waking me up !!
There are several add-ons and even 3rd party weather programs.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
