Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift (Mac Options) > key, and then starting Firefox. After it has loaded, close the browser. Is the problem still there?
Ok...tried your worthwhile suggestions to no avail. I decided it was about time to freshen things up and do a fresh install onto a new SSD. All went well until almost complete then the problem returned and I now think the issue may be caused by Couch Potato , SabNZBD , Sickbeard or their associated plugins. I have restored to before the problem arose and will advise when/if I isolate the offender.
- Edit : Resolved other issues along the way , however the suspects are down to HTC Sync or the last version of Sickbeard, so I installed an older version of sickbeard and it appears HTC software may cause issues , so I will wait for a newer version. Thanks Fred McD...you started me on the right path...
