Wondering if there are alternatives to the Adobe Flash player, and where do I find information about them? Thanks.

Well, there are several. I personally like adobe flash, so I have not tried out any of them, but there are other ones such as Gnash and Lightspark easily found on the internet. Also, if you have the correct Gstreamer dependencies, you can play videos on quite a few sites with these add ons.
