I plan to answer someone else's question, and so I need to register.
No details, I am only using this to register on the site.
Chosen solution
Ah, interesting. I did an online search, but the only solution I found was to "post a question to register".
So the alternative is to click the "Volunteer for Mozilla Support" button. I wish I had found that first.
Thanks, and maybe this will help someone else.

You already posted a question, so you followed that path to register.
You can click the "Volunteer for Mozilla Support" button on the https://support.mozilla.org page to go to the https://support.mozilla.org/get-involved page.

Please update to the current Firefox 34 release.
- Help > About Firefox

The Firefox 16 version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates.
- It is important to update Firefox and add-ons to the latest version to get all security fixes.
You may have to update more than once to get the current release. It is probably better to update, so migration code can update files in the Firefox profile folder properly.

I have the same problem, and I didn't find the right solution on my own because "Volunteer for Mozilla Support" does not accurately describe what I wanted to do - I wanted to ask a question about the answer to an existing question.
