use phone for internet connection via pdanet firefox does not realize connection via phone
This is sort of a Mobile and Desktop question. On the phone side Firefox works great. On the laptop side it is slow. I use PdaNet for connection for my laptop. PdaNet sends all information using phone and then sends back info to the laptop. Firefox on the laptop thinks I have a regular connection. I limited max number of simultaneous connections per http server to 8 and greatly increases efficiency - but extremely slow - at times.
I have 4G/4G LTE and 4G works more efficiently for the laptop than 4G LTE. Straight download speed using Free Download Manager averages 3-4 Mbits. But a youtube video lags unless I switch to full screen where Flash Player itself has the only bandwith and/or socket connection. Then I can play full-screen HD without one bit of a problem.
I have some old software not supported under Windows 7 - so I have Virtual PC installed running Windows 2000. Firefox is blazingly fast under Virtual PC with my phone connection.
This indicates to me that this is a socket problem (winsock) and/or connection too many.
If I choose to connect at 3G speeds of 180-200 kbits Firefox works great on the laptop - but you cannot watch a video - though music OK.
Any thoughts?

Hi olabill367, I would recommend trying prefetching, if this is not already enabled in the 4GLTE.
There are also a number of recommended tricks for optimizing for different internet speeds. For example http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/firefox-slow-optimise-browser-tricks...
However it is also possible to limit the number of connections when you are streaming media.
